The comedy series features two high-school vice principals trying to be promoted to the role of principal. In Season 1, the previous principal steps down and appoints Dr. Belinda Brown as his successor. Vice principals Neal Gamby and Lee Russell won't accept that and conspire to ruin Brown's reputation so that the board will have no choice but to pick one of them to take her place. The plan backfires when they only manage to alienate every other faculty member with their unlikable and at times crazy behavior.
